Dear Parents as of February 2024 our Monday night Pioneer Scout Troop is at capacity, and Te Aorangi on Thursdays is close to capacity. We do still have space in our Explorer (Tuesdays) Scout Troop. If you would like your child to join us, please feel free to reach out to us but be aware that if you can only make Mondays, or Thursdays then we may have to put you on our waiting list.
Scouts is about having fun while gaining valuable leadership skills and self-confidence. Scouts enjoy outdoor adventures like mountain biking, rock climbing, and lots of camping while working together with other young people to accomplish thrilling challenges and contribute to their communities. Leadership is encouraged, especially as a scout works towards their Chief Scout, the highest badge they can obtain.
As a Scout you will:
- Experience a variety of exciting adventurous activities.
- Learn valuable life skills like leadership, responsibility, and confidence.
- Meet new people and contribute to your community.
- Have the opportunity to participate in National and International Events, such as Jamborees and our National Scout Schools.
