At Halswell we have three Cub Packs that meet during the school term:
- Black Plume: Mondays; 6:30pm-8:00pm. Contact Dougal;
- Kotare: Tuesdays; 6:30pm-8:00pm. Contact Sarah;
- Riro Riro: Thursdays; 6:30pm-8:00pm. Contact Phil;
Dear Parents as of November 2022 both of our Riro Riro and Kotare Cubs are at capacity. We do still have some space with Black Plume on Monday nights, but this is filling up fast. If you would like your child to join us, please feel free to reach out to us but be aware that we may have to put you on our waiting list.
Challenge and fun are the focus of the Cub programme. Challenging hikes, weekend camps, and an introduction to water activities like canoeing or kayaking are just a few of the fun outdoor adventures that Cubs enjoy. Cubs are encouraged to try new and challenging activities. Cubs can also make great friendships along the way; badges are an extra incentive to gain knowledge.
As a Cub you will:
- Make new friends and have lots of fun!
- Go on exciting new adventures like camping, bushwalking, kayaking, and rock climbing.
- Spend time in your community, work in teams with others, and learn about different cultures.
- Learn new skills and test your creativity.
- Participate in Events such as Pinewood Derby, Mudslide Day, and JOTI (Jamboree On The Internet).
