Dear Parents as of July 2024 both of our (current) Kea Clubs are at capacity. If you would like your child to join us, please feel free to reach out to us but be aware that we may have to put you on our waiting list.
We are excited to announce that in T1 of 2025 due to unprecedented demand, we are adding a new Kea section: Manuka Keas will start up in February 2025, and run on Monday nights from 5:15pm to 6:15pm. At the same time, Wednesday night’s Rata Keas will move to Thursday nights, aligning all three of our Keas, Cub, and Scout sections, with the aim of making transitions between sections as smooth as possible for both families and youth. Existing families will get first “dibs” on their preferred night, after which we will offer the remaining positions to new and waitlisted families.
Fun and friendship are the cornerstones of the Kea programme. Keas opens the door for young people to discover the world. It is filled with a little bit of everything: outdoor activities, games, music, and crafts. Along the way, Keas meet new friends, learn cooperation and teamwork, and develop self-confidence.
As a Kea you will:
- Have lots of fun and go on awesome adventures
- Play heaps of games and make lots of friends
- Learn the Kea Promise and Motto
- Learn to sing the Kea Song and Kea Yell
- Take part in National Events such as Kea Day, Founders Day, and Mudslide Day
